I have to admit I was REALLY ready for preseason to be over until I sat down and watched the game against Detroit on Tuesday and HOLY CRAP- that was a fun game to watch. Now I am just so excited for the regular season. Alex Kovalev has that look of a man possessed once again, the demeanor of Carey Price is something that is very hard to explain but you just sense that this is a kid that is destined for greatness, the team at a glance can no longer be described as small with the additions of Robert Lang, Alex Tanguay and of course Big George.. I am trying to do what the players/coaches do and stay level, not get too excited but it is hard to not have high expectations for a team that surprised everyone last year.
My favorite moments so far include:
Carey Price's stop behind the back with the stick. OH. Mah. God.
That bone crushing hit by Ryan O’byrne on Stephane Yelle. Yeeeouch
Caoch Carbonneau and Bob Gainey telling me they like my haircut. What can I say. I'm vain.
