Good Morning. Just a few random thoughts on a Monday morning.
Good Morning. Just a few random thoughts on a Monday morning.
What a great Sunday night game. The NFC East always seems to provide entertaining games, no matter who is in them. Not sure anybody from that division is going to challenge New Orleans, Minnesota or Arizona for that matter in the NFC..but still, they provide riveting games.
Watching Norv Turner coach against Wade Phillips was like watching TV during a power failure. There are no lights on.
I said it on air yesterday, the Houston Texans would blow out the Seahawks. That is what they do. That is who they are. When it no longer means anything, they can play loosey goosey and show their talent. When it means something, they are softer than cotton. Every year they go on this late season run, save Gary Kubiak's job and fool everybody into thinking that next year will be their year. Their is something wrong with that chemistry and it starts with Kubiak.
You have to be happy to see Ricky Williams doing so well. I got a chance to meet him a couple times while he was in Toronto and have to say, he was a real down to earth nice guy. Glad to see he has gotten things back on track and is playing up to his capabilities.
There is something very wrong with Tom Brady. Whatever is ailing him is more serious then he is letting on. 19 for 32, 192 yds, td, int. Those aren't Brady numbers against a team they are supposed to crush at home. He is hurt. Beware of spotting points with the Patriots in the upcoming weeks. They will be looking to grind out wins and keep Brady insulated.
If you were like me and on Oakland yesterday, we were dead the second Jamarcus Russell stepped on the field. It is time for the Raiders to cut bait on this tub of goo and start again. He will never be an NFL quarterback. I don't think he will ever be a CFL quarterback. Arena League, UFL, Saturday afternoon touch league...you can fill in the blanks...this guy won't be a quarterback in it.
What does Santa Claus and the Dallas Cowboys have in common? Nothing at all. Santa goes to work in December. The Cowboys take the month off.
Favourites went 10-5 for the week, a bounce back for the chalk after several weeks of barking dogs. Unders had another strong week going 10-5.
