1 week to go....

As many of you may know if you are regular listeners to Melnick I am doing my first triathlon this Saturday, 1 Final week left to train for the Sprint which is a 750 meter swim, 20 k bike and 5 k run. I am most nervous about the run. A. because its running and I pretty much suck at running and B. cause it is the last of the 3 events. Cross your fingers for me that I make it through!!! Lately I have been trying to get in as much work on the run and the bike as possible so that means a lot of running before work and hopefully a swim or bike at night. I have to say it is super sweet to get back in shape and I definitely see myself continuing swimming as I have fallen back in love with the water. Running not so much, I am still convinced that 'runners high' is a myth designed to make the rest of us feel like idiots.

Along with the running I played this summer in a mixed softball league and although it was difficult to adjust to some of their 'safety rules' (no stealing and YOU DON'T RUN OVER THE PLATE!!!??) took some getting used to, getting out and swinging the bat again was just the best and being part of a team was something I don't think even I realized how much I missed.

I am going to get back on the bogging routine and have so many more things to talk about- am very excited to watch the Habs this season and totally fed up and annoyed of the whole Sundin thing. Just make a freakin decision already.
